Suoni Outreach Projects


As part of Siobhan Lamb’s mission to create more opportunities for people
to connect with music, The Suoni Ensemble has created various outreach
It began by doing one off projects, such as the 5 week residency in Gentofte schools. but now has also created
ongoing outreach projects for adults and children.
The Copenhagen International Children’s Choir was created for children
from all over greater Copenhagen to get together, weekly during term time,
to enjoy singing well.
Stina Schmidt (alto from The Suoni Ensemble) is the regular visiting vocal
coach and Suoni’s Soprano Sofie Elkjer Jensen has also given a
As well as learning and singing their own repertoire members of the CICC
took part in a Concert at Christians Kirke in June 2015 with The Suoni
Ensemble listening, working and singing alongside the Ensemble.
This year also saw the forming of The Suoni Chorus. An adult amateur
chorus some of whom have never sung in a choir before. As well as
working on their own repertoire they also performed in a concert with the
Ensemble. Ongoing links and workshops between the Ensemble and the
choir means that more people are getting access to more music.
December 2015 will see the First Suoni Christmas Concert, bringing
together traditional Christmas favourites alongside specially commissioned
new works ‘Twas the Night before Christmas’ and King John’s Christmas.
We are currently working on creating a project for special needs children
and their parents.
